RIO Gripshooter Shooting Line 35LB

RIO GripShooter 35lb Shooting Line

The RIO GripShooter 35lb Shooting Line is a hard nylon shooting line designed for fly anglers who demand maximum distance, smooth shooting and reliable control when casting heavy Skagit or Scandi shooting heads. Combining a thin, low-drag nylon running line with a highly visible coated handling section, it is an excellent choice for salmon, steelhead and saltwater fly fishing.

Based on RIO’s popular SlickShooter running line, the GripShooter features a thicker coated handling section that is easier to hold, grip and manage—especially in cold, wet conditions. The bright, visible handling section also helps anglers monitor line position and control casts more effectively.

Its thin nylon construction creates minimal friction through rod rings, allowing shooting heads to travel further with less effort. The line is light enough to hold off the water at distance, giving improved control of the head and fly during the swing. An 8-inch welded loop at the front provides fast, secure shooting-head changes without the need for knots.

The 35lb GripShooter is suited to shooting heads in the 450–575 grain range.
